Abstract

This article presents a reinterpretation of the concept of eschatological community, by Rudolf Bultmann, through which the primitive Christian churches, which are the fruits of the missionary activity of the apostle Paul, are understood as churches that resist Roman imperial policy through their practice of solidarity and their egalitarian experience, according to the teachings and reports recorded in the Pauline letters. This picture will be exposed based on the following proposal, firstly, Aristotelian didactics or Rhetoric will be presented as a procedure used by the apostle in the instruction of his communities; secondly, the eschatological community will be described as a nucleus of resistance to the Roman Empire; Finally, we will point out some didactic procedures taken by the apostle Paul himself in the instruction of the eschatological community.
